ANIMONDO: Journey into the Wild at SABDA (Eixample): open from 30 October 2026. Full disclosure: SABDA is our venue. ANIMONDO: Journey into the Wild is a 25 minute immersive show through four worlds of life on Earth (rainforest, deep sea, Arctic and savannah), made in Unreal Engine and projected across the four walls of a 360° room with Dolby Atmos sound, for 22 people per session at SABDA, C/ Muntaner 83B in the Eixample. It is the first long running immersive exhibition at SABDA. It runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, at €20 for adults (13 and over) and €12 for children aged 4 to 12, including a welcome glass of cava or juice in SABDA Café. On Fridays, arrival times are 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00; on Saturdays, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 21:00 and 22:00; and on Sundays, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30. The listed times are arrival times: the show starts 20 minutes later, and the whole visit takes about 50 minutes. There is no headset. Details on SABDA's exhibitions page.

Gaudí at Codi Gaudí (Espai Imagina): open until 8 January 2027. A mixed and virtual reality experience about the buildings Gaudí never built, at Av. Diagonal 177. Adults from €12.50 on Mondays, closed on Tuesdays, about 70 minutes. espai-imagina.com
Dalí Boulevard Cibernètic: open. An immersive Dalí experience in Casa Amatller, Passeig de Gràcia 41. From €15 on weekdays and €18 at weekends, about 75 minutes.
IKONO: open. More than ten playful, photo-friendly immersive rooms on the third floor of the Arenas shopping centre at Plaça d'Espanya, daily from 12:00 to 19:00. IKONO has moved: older listings give an address in Barceloneta, which is out of date. ikono.global
White Rabbit: open. Ten immersive rooms about Catalan traditions by local artists, at Passeig de Gràcia 55. From €16, 60 to 90 minutes.
Moco Museum: open. Contemporary and street art with a digital and immersive collection, at Carrer de Montcada 25 in the Born. From €14.95, children up to 6 free.
Antarctica Experience (GIGA, Arenas): open. From €12.90, under-3s free, 45 to 75 minutes. No end date published.
Iniesta Experience: open until 10 January 2027. In the former IMAX on Moll d'Espanya, from €18, about 90 minutes.
Museum of Banksy: open. Carrer Trafalgar 34, €14, under-6s free.
Finished or not running
Pompeii (IDEAL Montjuïc): finished. "The Last Days of Pompeii" closed on 21 September 2026. No replacement has been announced.
IDEAL Poblenou: no programme. IDEAL's website now lists only its Montjuïc venue, with nothing announced after Pompeii. Check idealbarcelona.com before planning around it.
Mundo Pixar: finished in Barcelona. The official Mundo Pixar website no longer lists Barcelona among its cities.
Eonarium: finished. Its Barcelona page reads "Exhibition Finished".
Sorolla: not confirmed. No Sorolla immersive exhibition is confirmed in Barcelona.
Van Gogh: not running. No Van Gogh exhibition or immersive experience is running or announced in Barcelona.
Tutankhamun and Egypt: finished. The Tutankhamun show at IDEAL closed in June 2024.

What "immersive" actually means
"Immersive" now covers everything from a room with a projector to a headset. In practice, Barcelona's immersive experiences fall into four formats: headset VR (Codi Gaudí), projection around you in a room (SABDA, Antarctica Experience), LED screens (Casa Batlló's Gaudí Cube), and walk-through rooms built for photos and play (IKONO, White Rabbit, Moco's digital rooms). None is better by default. VR gives you the most freedom of movement, projection rooms let you share the moment with the people next to you, and walk-through rooms are the easiest with children.
