What a sound bath is

Lying down,
doing nothing.

A sound bath is a guided session where you lie down and listen. There is no posture to hold and nothing to perform. Instruments are played live around the room and the sound does the work.

At SABDA the sound comes from invisible in-wall speakers and ceiling subwoofers as well as the instruments themselves, so it moves around you in three dimensions rather than reaching you from a single direction. Mats, blankets and bolsters are provided. Sessions run 60 minutes.

"We built the room so people practise inside the visuals instead of in front of a screen. That is the whole difference."

Marvyn Halfon, co-founder, SABDA Studio
